Additional Duties
As a part of the new IFR licensing regime, clubs in the top five leagues of the pyramid will have to meet their additional duties to gain a provisional licence and continue to meet the required standards to gain a full licence.
Not all duties will be applicable to all clubs as these duties go live. Duties will only arise in specific circumstances. However, clubs need to be aware of all duties and comply when relevant.
Seven of these duties are to be followed by clubs, and one of these duties applies only to specified competition organisers (the Premier League, the English Football League and the National League).
All duties are now live. The first four duties were live as of 5th May 2026 and the final four duties are live as of 1st July 2026.
