Take Part

The Engage Independent Football Regulator tool provides clubs, competition owners, fans and other members of the public with an opportunity to share their views on our proposed policies. It also provides access to previous consultations and published responses. Click here to access the platform and consultations.

Who can take part

Public consultations are open to everyone. They aim to gather as many perspectives as possible from a wide range of voices - from regulated organisations and industry bodies to members of the public.

This includes the 116 regulated football clubs, competition owners, football industry organisations, and football supporters -  whether individuals, official supporter clubs or fan interest groups.

Compliance with government consultation principles

In preparing consultations, the IFR takes into account the published government consultation principles. These set out the principles that government departments and other public bodies should adopt when consulting with stakeholders.

Confidentiality

Individual submissions are not typically published, although information may be used or summarised in public documents.  If your response contains confidential or sensitive information, please identify it and explain why it should be treated as sensitive. After each consultation closes, all responses are reviewed and analysed before the IFR publishes its formal response.
