David Rule

David Rule is a financial regulator.  He is currently a Senior Advisor at the Bank of England.  Previously, he held roles as Executive Director for Supervision at the Financial Reporting Council; Executive Director of Insurance Supervision at the Bank of England; Executive Director of Prudential Policy at the Bank of England; and Director of UK Bank Supervision, at the FSA and then Bank of England. 

David has a degree in Modern History from Balliol College Oxford and further degrees in Political Science from the University of Toronto, Economics from Queens’ College Cambridge and Modern History from University College London.
